After implementing any type of learning event (workshop, distance learning or on-the-job learning), monitoring of learning events and follow up activities should be conducted to gauge the extent to which the activity contributes to the overall goal of improving Food Security Assessment quality within the country. After each learning event, learners should be given the opportunity apply and further develop their skills

• Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Learning activities should be monitored and evaluated to confirm they are contributing to the overall goal of improving the quality of food security assessments. This link provides guidance on the use of an M&E framework for these events, and on the monitoring and evaluation of all types of learning events.
   
• Follow-up with learners: Learners can apply and develop their new skills by participating in food security assessment and analysis activities. This link provides information on the responsibilities of WFP Country Offices, Regional Bureaux and Headquarters.
